Former Global CFO brings 40 years of financial leadership and enterprise risk experience.
NEENAH, Wis. (August 4, 2026) — Jewelers Mutual® Group, the insurance and business solutions provider dedicated to the jewelry industry since 1913, today announced the appointment of Laura Deutscher, a former Global CFO with 40 years of leadership across financial services, insurance, and professional services, to its Board of Directors of Jewelers Mutual Holding Company (JMHC), effective August 1, 2026.
Known for her focus on human capital strategy, Deutscher brings deep financial expertise, enterprise risk oversight, and transformational leadership to boards navigating growth, complexity, and scale. She is guided by the conviction that leadership, culture, succession, and capability building are critical drivers of enterprise value and resilience, bringing a practical operator’s lens to the boardroom that bridges management priorities with effective governance and forward-looking decision-making.

Deutscher is a corporate director and former Global CFO with a 40-year career spanning financial services, insurance, and professional services. She currently serves as an independent director for Jewelers Mutual and People Corporation, and has served as an independent director for MSIG USA, MS Transverse Insurance Group and Germania Insurance Company, chairing audit and risk committees and advising boards on financial transformation, M&A, strategic execution, and enterprise risk governance.
